Huh. Sen. Burr (R-NC) actually voted to convict. Also, he’s retiring. And he seems to have done a decent job leading the Senate investigation into Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election. I wonder what’s going on there.
(Not that I’d ever vote for him, but I still wonder.)
So… we’ll probably never be here again, b/c we’ll never again have a villain as incompetent as this one. He has proven that impeachment and the Electoral College simply do not work to prevent a severely problematic President from doing profound damage.
