This is a great post by someone I met on my ZOE trip to Kenya a few years ago. I think the only thing I’d add to it is that “strength in numbers” doesn’t just apply to vulnerable, marginalized people on the ground, but also as an organizational principle. There should never be a dependence on a single hero, anywhere in the organization.
