Actually not sure I believe the following bit. There seems to be plenty of local news in big cities; it’s the sparse markets where local news is dying away (has died away):

Cooked this tonight (CSA chard — what to do?). Used gro. sto. veg. broth and had extra, so dumped it in the salmon-poaching pan instead of water. After the meal, poured the liquid from the pan into a pint glass and drank it. SO GOOD.
