IFTTT applet HAD 3 <‘s & >’s surrounding “Post content” (or whatever it is 🙂), but I took them away and added a bonus italicized word. Any better?

Technical experimentation #1
IFTTT applet has 3 <‘s & >’s surrounding “Post content” (or whatever it is 🙂), so… how do they appear on Mastodon?

Good article on social media “middleware”

I mostly skimmed this, focusing mostly on section II.C. Several good links.

This will be super-cool if it works.

@futurebird lots of good details in the replies that you got, but maybe examples will help?
Excuse the broken images, that’s my fault
On my site I have https://fed.brid.gy/ set up. So When I post on my site and put the link on Twitter/Mastodon, it gets comments/reactions there and adds them to my site. I can then reply to the comment and have it post to social for me.

VOTE
It’s a wee bit late for me to be saying this, but: VOTE.
(For Democrats, please.)
Added Brid.gy
Welp… I just added https://brid.gy/ to my WordPress blog. Hopefully it doesn’t go scouring through all my past blog entries and proceed to drown poor https://toot.cafe, which is already under a huge load (wonder why?). If it does… sorry @Nolan. 😦
Maybe don’t quite believe the polls?
«For now, this much is clear: Which pollsters have surveyed a state most recently is a big factor in determining whether the numbers look better for Republicans or Democrats. And this year, the polls that are driving the average are quite different.»

Speed running the content moderation learning curve
I think there could be a huge Mastodon instance some day that gets to do this, too.
“Float”
“Float.” Nice job, New York Times headline department. Sounds so gentle and tentative. How about “specify”? “State”? “Preview”? “Reveal”? “Declare”?
