Hey, Futurism, this isn’t just moon denialism. This is the bedrock of the war on expertise. This is children who don’t want to be told that they have to floss and get stuck with needles. This is children who don’t want to be told they have to wear bike helmets. This is children who have had it with their parents telling them what to do, for various reasons.

This is children who don’t want to be told that smoking and vaping are bad for them. It goes on and on and on. It’s so many people who don’t want to hear that magical thinking is not the answer.

And it’s the rest of us, those who know better, just letting them go ahead with their foolishness because we don’t realize that we are all bound together. It’s the grown-ups in the boat letting the kids play with drills because they don’t realize the boat filling up with water is a Problem.
