    @herereadthis.blog And with the money you saved not buying butter, you go get yourself yet another cast iron pan.

    People who cook their own bacon end up figuring it out. It’s the newbs. I’m not sure they know what to do with it after they keep it.

      Ya! Just whenever you want a little bacon flavor. Pan-fry steak, pork, sautee green beans. I figured people would figure it out. 🙂

        @herereadthis.blog "I figured people would figure it out," is where you went wrong.

        It's not that people aren't bright. I think the disconnect is that just because we saw the connection, that we were able to in that instance, that it should follow that others will.

        Kids are cramming in math, not practicing experiments, or getting practical (food) exposure.

        You're a blogger, though, so if you spelled it out, you'd get hits. No one writes about bacon fat, cuz it's obvious…
