Email from our Bishop, Hope Morgan Ward, re NC HB 324, which is intended to prevent education in our schools about racism and sexism. (More specifically, any teaching that makes children uncomfortable (like, maybe, actual history?) and any teaching that implies people should suffer adverse treatment (like, oh, I dunno, losing one’s privilege?).)

This went out from the Bishop to our United Methodist Women, who are disseminating it throughout the church, and that has never happened before.
