On using EBT cards to buy junk food

This discussion is super-interesting to me. Lots of good reasons why junk food is the smart/only choice, but also: a WHOLE lot of “MYOB, don’t judge”. As if human dignity is more important than the calories. (Sorry, Vicki, I know it stings getting jumped on like that.)

Vicki Schaan 🌊 (@Vickisfunstuff) Tweeted: «@jourdayen When I’ve cashiered, the only thing that bothers me about some purchasing with EBT is the $100s on potato chips, doritos, and similar snacks, $100s on soda pop, no juice, 1 gallon milk, no fruits or vegetables. Are children getting nutrition?»
