Can Raphael Warnock Go From the Pulpit to the Senate? – The New York Times

Oh nos! Rev. Warnock was arrested!

While protesting. Which I consider honorable, in these cases.

«Like Dr. King, he sometimes landed in jail. In 2014, he was arrested at the state capitol while protesting Republicans’ refusal to expand Medicaid under Obamacare. In 2017, he was arrested in Washington for protesting proposed budget cuts to social services.»

Ok, also, he was arrested wrongfully in 2002 and the charges were dropped at the request of law enforcement, with an apology:

«Media reports and court records show the charges against Warnock were dropped at the request of law enforcement and investigators said he was “very helpful” with the probe.

They blamed miscommunication and apologized for the arrest.» (AJC’s behind a paywall, and I can’t read the story, so this is what I assume is a fair summary.)
