I do like this as.
Lindy Li (@lindyli) Tweeted: Trump just sent a cease and desist letter demanding that TV stations immediately pull this ad. So let’s the share the shit out of it #TrumpMadness #TrumpPressConf #DoctorsOnlyPressConferences https://t.co/JywInTfo45
«The white working class forms 46 percent of registered voters; most are women. … In the midterms, Democrats ran on cutting prescription-drug costs, building infrastructure, and limiting the role of big money, and a portion of the white working class joined the revolt. The 13-point shift against Trump was three times stronger than the shift in the suburbs that got everyone’s attention.
Trump won white working-class women by 27 points in 2016. But at the end of 2019, Biden was running dead even with Trump nationally.»

This whole thing’s just going to be a clown show from start to finish, isn’t it?
«As the sudden surge in cases in Hong Kong shows, quarantines and social distancing must continue well beyond the initial wave of cases, if another round of infections is to be avoided.»

I like this.
“Every time you break isolation, someone will die,” said the djinn. “But it will be a person you do not know.”
“Harsh, but I have work to do,” said the man.
“Done,” said the djinn. “And good luck. I am granting this wish to ten thousand people who do not know YOU.”»

Somebody somewhere made a comment that coronavirus was spread by the wealthy who insisted on flying to China and Milan. Pretty sure anybody who’s played Plague knows that’s hogwash. This animation shows a SINGLE DAY of air traffic around the world in 2008. Pretty sure this is mostly business traffic. I doubt it’s decreased since then.
«On an average day, there are roughly 90,000 commercial flights around the world. This stunning animated map displays them all in 4 seconds.»
(Yes, I know the NY Times did a story on this, too, a day or two ago.)

James Ball (@jamesrbuk) Tweeted: Please, please don’t share the “Cuban doctors sent to Italy” as any kind of heartwarming of uplifting story. It very much isn’t, and you’re doing propoaganda of a nasty regime by doing so. https://t.co/ssij92cy5d

What lack of testing does. We won’t even be able to know cause of death without testing, so it’ll throw covid death stats off. “There is no coronavirus in great soviet republic of Russia.”
Ben Hunt (@EpsilonTheory) Tweeted: Please read, RT. From the dept head of a major hospital in a major American city that is NOT in NY, CA or WA. “The numbers – including deaths – are underreported bc we are not allowed to report it as Covid until the test comes back positive.” This is the new #DontTestDontTell. https://t.co/nxRorvCzwF
Ok, Gradle. I know you guys are really proud of yourselves, but do you have to be so dang leaky with your abstractions? Is it really crucial that we know that script blocks are secretly method calls that take *closures* as parameters? Can’t you just say “script blocks” and be done with it?
Also… “configures the dependency configurations”? Seriously? You know “configure” is ALREADY a nebulous word, right? You had to configure the configurations?
«A script block is a method call which takes a closure as a parameter. The closure is treated as a configuration closure which configures some delegate object as it executes. The top level script blocks are listed below.
….
configurations { } — Configures the dependency configurations for this project.
dependencies { } — Configures the dependencies for this project.»
