This was an amazingly good podcast episode everybody should listen to, on free speech (absolutism) and whether/how we can make the American experiment actually work.
Hint: we cannot assume American exceptionalism will carry the day. Nothing good happens automatically unless we MAKE it happen. The arc of moral universe bends toward justice because WE are the arc benders.

Americans should donate money to well-run-and-audited organizations, not stuff. This goes back to the 80s, when Republicans convinced us that donating money is problematic.

Welp… I guess there’s a (fore)shadow election going on in the country now. This is what happens when people snooze through judicial elections and a redistricting-year election.
