   Honestly, if the Senate doesn't refuse to confirm President Convicted Felon's appointments of wildly unqualified people, what makes you think that "third time's the charm" for impeachment?

      I didn’t mean to imply it would work (although, honestly, I can hope — surely not all Republicans are this craven), but I meant more that impeachment is justified. This isn’t at the same level as “Trump put his thumb on the scales in a single phone call to Ukraine” or “Trump incited an ultimately unsuccessful riot at the end of his term”. It’s way, way worse.

      This just feels like 1933 Enablement Act -level behavior.
