Why IS Colorado blue, anyway? This seems like a reasonable explanation.

As long as Republicans continue down the path they’re on, it’ll probably stay that way, too, but it has a large fraction of independent voters that might be available if the Republicans ever decide to stop being bigots. Or at least, stop being so obvious about it.
