Different translators and interpreters have come up with different numbers, but there are at least a few dozen instances throughout both the Hebrew Scriptures and the Gospels in which God is referred to in the feminine, either metaphorically or directly.

Imagine having such an anemic idea of God (or masculinity, for that matter) that you can only envision God as a man. Then imagine the possibility of a God who is much, much bigger than that box you’ve created. Which one feels better, really?
